He was ordained a priest in Ghent on 30 May 1953.
He was a teacher at the Sint-Vincentiuscollege in Eeklo (18 May 1954).

He received an honourable discharge and pension on 3 February 1993.

Albert edited the "Sleeper of the Roosenberg Abbey" together with Honoré Rottier. They photographed folio by folio.
Albert passed away on 1 June 2022 at the O.L.V. hospital campus in Asse.
The funeral liturgy took place on Friday 10 June in the O.L. Vrouwkerk in Melsele.

After Albert Truyman passed away, his extensive website "Families Truyman-Vinck... en andere families uit het Waasland", which contained a wealth of information about numerous relatives, unfortunately went offline. I worked with Albert for many years on genealogical research into our common Truyman family. Fortunately, Albert provided me with a CD with a backup of his website in 2001, in case something were to happen. I have now managed to put this version of his website from 2001 back online.

Municipality inherits genealogical research of deceased priest Albert Truyman
Albert Truyman's genealogical research was included in the municipal archives where it will be available to other genealogists and local historians. The municipal council of Beveren has accepted the legacy of the deceased priest Albert Truyman. He is donating his collection of genealogical research to the municipal archives.

Albert Truyman passed away on June 1 at the age of 95. The priest from Melsele did a lot of genealogical research into Wase families during his long life. The results were carefully recorded in a perfectly ordered collection of documents and photos. His collection was bequeathed to the municipality in his will. The collection is about five linear meters in size. Archivist Carine Goossens gave a positive recommendation to add it to the municipal archive. The priest researched many families from the Land van Beveren and will now be made available to local historians and genealogists.
